The Ivanovo Region Office of the Investigative Committee is carrying out a preliminary check into collapse of part of a 12-flat house in Minskaya Street in the town of Ivanovo.

According to preliminary information, 80 square meters of the house went down. There is a district smell of gas present at the explosion scene.

At present, investigators and criminalists of the regional investigative authority have set out for the scene to carry out preliminary investigation.

The number of victims is now being checked.

It is known that there were 19 registered tenants in the house.

A procedural decision will be made following the check.
