In St. Petersburg, probe launched in injuring teenager on rock-climbing wall

The Saint Petersburg Directorate of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in a crime under Part 1 of Article 238 of the RF Penal Code (execution of work or provision of services that do not meet safety standards).

As became known earlier, a 16-year-old boy fell from about a 7-meter-high rock-climbing wall in a shopping mall in Primorsky District of Saint Petersburg , at about 4 PM, 20 November 2016. He was taken to hospital with several injuries.

Investigators believe that the staff of the facility provided unsafe services.

The investigation is under special control of the senior officials of the Investigative Committee’s Saint Petersburg Directorate.
