In Yakutia, head of gold mining companies pays over 2 billion rubles of wages he owed after investigative authorities interfere

A court has recognized the evidence collected by the Sakha (Yakutia) Office of the Investigative Committee sufficient to enforce a punishment on president of OOO Company of Miners Tal who is at the same time financial director of OOO Yantar, OOO Alchanets, OOO Oimyakonye, OOO Tastyn and OOOAZPK. He was charged with crimes under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 145.1 of the RF Penal Code (failure to pay wages).

The court and investigators established that from January 2015 to April 2016, the head of companies had enough money to pay wages to his workers, but deliberately failed to pay part of wages for more than 3 months and full wages for more than 2 months in order to get profit and ensure normal activity of the companies.

The investigators revealed that his actions caused a damage of more than 2 billion 111 million 471 thousand rubles to almost 3 thousand workers. After the case had been opened, the wages were paid.

Therefore, the case against the accused with the request to cease proceedings against him and find him was referred to a magistrate court which fined the businessman for 100 thousand rubles.
