The Leningrad Region Office of the RF Investigative Committee has launched a check after the dead body of a 77-year-old man was found.

The man’s dead body without any visible traces of violent death was found on 16 December 2016 near a house in Zarechnaya Street in the village of Raikuzi, Lomonosov District, Leningrad Region.

According to preliminary information the man had taken a taxi to get home from Saint Petersburg to Lomonosov District. The taxi drive could not find his address and the passenger had to leave the car.

At present, investigators are taking all necessary steps to find out circumstances surrounding the incident, including the reasons why he left the car. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
