Alexander Bastrykin sends experienced forensic specialists to provide practical assistance in investigating assault on money collectors in Moscow Region

The Moscow Region Directorate of the Investigative Committee continues investigating crimes under Part 2, item “h” of Article 105 (robbery-related murder), Part 4, item “c” of Article 162 (robbery with infliction of grievous bodily harm) and Part 1 of Article 222 of the RF Penal Code (illegal carrying of firearms) following an attack on money collectors in the town of Khimki. Forensic specialists of the Investigative Committee’s Forensic Directorate have taken off for Khmiki to provide practical assistance in the investigation following the order of Investigative Committee Chairman Alexander Bastrykin.

On 20 January 2017, at 12:10 AM, a money collector of OOO Inkakhran Servis and a worker of a private security company OOO Fort-I were attacked by an unknown man and shot several times when they had finished collecting money from a shop in the Liga shopping mall in Leningradsjoye Highway in Khimki. The 38-year-old worker of a private security company died at the scene, while the money collector managed to hide in safety and save the money. The attacker fled the scene.

At the present time, investigators are confiscating documents from the two companies, including the running schedule. The investigators are now working to identify people who knew the route of the collector truck and witnesses of the assault. They have ordered a forensic medical, ballistic, biological and other inquiries.
