The Astrakhan Region Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in attempted suicide solicitation of a minor under Part 3 of Article 30 and Article 110 of the RF Penal Code.

Investigators have revealed that in spring 2016, an unidentified person under nickname Filipp Lis posted audio, video files, topics for discussion and statements promoting suicide in a closed group in VK (VKontakte) social network.

In the same period Filipp Lis sent a 16-year-old resident of Astrakhan messages from his VK account urging her to commit suicide.

The crime was not finished as it was broken up by agents of the Astrakhan Region Office of the Federal Security Service.

At present, the investigator is looking into all circumstances surrounding the incident.

Earlier, investigators of Saint Petersburg detained administrator of one of so-called groups of death Budeikin and charged him with several counts of solicitation of suicide via social networking sites. This man was registered under the nickname Filipp Lis. As was established Budeikin and other yet unidentified persons promoted suicidal behavior in close groups in VK social network and urged teenage users to take their own lives.

The case is going to be taken over by the Saint Petersburg Office of the Investigative Committee to be joined with the one opened earlier.
