Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has congratulated Chair of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly Ms. Valentina Matviyenko.

Speaking about Ms. Matviyenko as an outstanding statesperson, Mr. Bastrykin noted “that today the Federation Council is facing some serious challenges: to strategic aims for the country’s development, implementation of legislative initiatives, keeping balance between federal and regional interests, guarantying constitutional rights and freedoms to citizens.
