Students of Alexander Nevsky’s Cadet Corps of Investigative Committee take oath in Moscow

The students of the Alexander Nevsky’s Cadet Corps of the Russian Investigative Committee has taken the cadet oath in the Museum of the Great Patriotic War on Poklonnaya Gora today.

The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin, the First Deputy Director of the Cadet Corps of the Russian Investigative Committee Igor Alexandrov, member of the Defence Committee of the State Duma, First Deputy Chairman of the All-Russian Veteran Organization “Boyevoe Bratstvo” Dmitry Sablin, the President of the Regional non-government Kocheshkov’s Fund for Support of Heroes of the Russian Federation and the Soviet Union, the Vice-President of the Russian Association of Heroes Vyacheslav Sivko, the Veteran of the Great Patriotic War, the President of the inter-regional non-governmental organization “Distinguished Commanders and Naval Commanders of the Fatherland”, the Acting State Councilor of Justice Alexander Sukharev, the People’s Artist of the USSR Vasily Lanovoy, members of Cadet Board, veterans of investigation, employees of the Investigative Committee, students of the Investigative Committee Academy, professors and students of the Cadet Corps, their families and other guests has taken place in the event.

The ceremony started with the minute’s silence to honor all victims of the Great Patriotic War and laying flowers to the Sorrow memorial, dedicated to 26 million 600 thousand of killed and missing people.

Igor Alexandrov in his opening speech underlined importance of that event for the young cadets: “It is not a coincidence that the ceremony takes place in the Hall of Glory of the Museum of the Great Patriotic War, as the cadets continue heroic traditions of the previous generations, traditions of Dmitry Donskoy and Alexander Nevsky, the heroes of the Battle of Borodino and the Great Patriotic War. This oath is more than promise, these are words of honor!”.

More than 90 boys and girls took the oath to be loyal to traditions of the cadet brotherhood and to be devoted to the Fatherland, giver their best on service to the Law, kindness and justice.

The Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin congratulated the cadets with the important event – taking of the oath, and underlined that “The Investigative Committee is responsible for investigation of major crimes, such as terrorism, extremism, economical and financial crimes, corruption, crimes against persons and we have to correspond to that responsibility”. Alexander Bastrykin personally handed cadet certificates to the cadets, wished them success in learning, strength of mind, courage and to be conscious of their responsibilities before society, state and their relatives.
