The Tomsk Region Office of the Investigative Committee is checking unsafe services provided by a transfer company that caused a coach overturn at Tomsk – Kolpashevo highway killing a 5-month-old baby and injuring passengers.

According to preliminary information, on the afternoon of 12 June 2017, a coach en route from Tomsk to Parabel overturned on kilometer marker 261 of Tomsk – Kolpashevo highway. A 5-month-old baby was killed in an accident, while 20 more passengers were injured.

Investigators are questioning some of the injured transported by a helicopter to hospitals in the town of Kolpashevo. They are also confiscating documents from the transfer company’s office. The number of victims is being verified. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
