Investigators get information that member of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada involved in urging citizens to attack Russian consulate

The Head Office of the Investigative Committee continues investigation in the 2016 attack on the General Consulate of the Russian Federation under Article 360 in the town of Lviv and desecration of the Russian flag under Article 329 of the RF Criminal Code. One individuals under this investigation is incumbent member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Parasyuk.

Along with involvement into the said crimes, investigators have gotten enough evidence that Parasyuk urged people gathered around the General Consulate to attack it on 9 March 2016. Parasyuk now is charged with involving people in attacking an institution under international protection under Part 1 of Article 205.1 of the RF Criminal Code.

In Ukraine Parasyuk has long been known as a peculiar scandalous person who reminds of himself from time to time by public brawls with his colleagues in the parliament, with officials of the Ukraine’s Security Service and Ministry of the Interior. He is also an active participant of blockade of railways in Donbass. It seems that another major crime is not something out of the ordinary for that man. Nevertheless, such actions give everybody a clear notion about this public official. We can only imagine what kind of bills such a lawmaker can support or propose.
