Probe launched in death of three children under train in Maritime Territory

The Far Eastern Transport Office of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in railway transport safety breach entailing death of two or more people under Part 3 of Article 263 of the RF Criminal Code.

On the evening of 10 June 2017, a train ran over 4 children between Amur Bay and Nadezhdinskaya stations of the Far East railway leaving three of them dead and another one injured. The injured child was taken to hospital.

At present, investigators are working at the scene. There is an investigative team to find out not only circumstances surrounding the incident, but those that took place before it.
