The Moscow Directorate of the Investigative Committee has opened an investigation in safety breach under part 3 of Article 216 of the RF Criminal Code.

According to investigators, around 4 PM, on 22 June 2017, bodies of 5 men were found in a sewer manhole in Bozhenko Street in Moscow. According to preliminary information, the men died of gas intoxication while pumping out water from the sewer.

A number of investigative operations are underway to find out all the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigators are going to qualify actions of officials of the servicing organization. The investigation is ongoing.
