Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has taken under control check opened by the Buryatia Office of the Investigative Committee into a utilities accident in the city of Ulan-Ude.

According to preliminary information, the accident happened on 9 November 2017 and left without water some 100,000 residents of the Buryatia’s capital city. Water supply has not yet been restored.

Investigators are going to find out the reasons for the accident as soon as possible. They are going to give legal assessment to the actions of housing services and officials of the city administration. A procedural decision will be made following the check.
