Probe into beating of teenager by his peers referred to Central Office upon instructions from Chairman of Investigative Committee of Russia

Under the instruction of Alexander Bastrykin, the probe into an attempted murder of a 15-year-old teenager in Moscow (Part 3 of Article 30, Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia) was referred to the Central Office of the Investigative Committee for a full and credible investigation.

According to the investigation, a group of teenagers, being close to apartment houses in the south of Moscow, had conspired and started to apply multiple strikes at their peer's vital organs under an insignificant pretext of a conflict in social networks. The attackers had continued kicking him after the young man had fallen and started pleading for help. The victim had been delivered to a municipal healthcare institution. At the moment, two 14-year-old attackers are detained; a preventive measure for them is yet to be elected by the investigation.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to identify all participants of the incident and to examine their living conditions. Since the attackers and the victim attend the same school, the investigation is to evaluate the psychological situation in the collective and figure out whether the teachers had been aware of the conflict between the students, and whether they had applied any preventive measures. Also, the investigators were instructed to establish all causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of the crime. A legal evaluation will be given to actions of every person involved in the crime.

The investigation is specially controlled by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
