Chairman of the Investigative Committee sends his condolences on death of Andrey Dulov, Doctor of Law, Professor

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin expressed his condolences on the death of Professor and Doctor of Law Andrey Vasilyevich Dulov, an outstanding researcher who had greatly contributed to the development of forensics science:

“His departure is a most tragic loss for legal sciences in the entire former Soviet Union - the sciences he had spent his long life developing.

He was a soldier of the Great Patriotic War, a man full of courage and valour who fought fearlessly at Leningrad for his Fatherland and the peaceful life of our people. After the war, he kept his rightful service having become one of the best investigators of the Procurator General of the Soviet Union.

Having accumulated the astounding professional experience, Andrey Vasilyevich proved himself to be a scientist whose expert authority was indisputable for his colleagues and followers. We grant highest respect to his achievements designed for the development of forensics.

Steadfast Andrey Vasilyevich, he was truthfully called a ground breaker and reformer of forensic sciences. A talented teacher he was, with a priority in bringing up thoughtful legal specialists - men of principle. He worked hard for science in the Belarusian State University and became a mentor for many legal workers. He made his major contribution to the cooperation between the Investigative Committees of Russia and Belarus, which thus deepened and continues to develop.

We will remember Andrey Vasilyevich with reverent respect and gratitude for his work, as an inspirer of an entire galaxy of researchers and practitioners, a man devoted to his path. I am most certain that his deeds will live and be delivered from one generation of legal experts and investigators to the next.

I send my heartfelt condolences to the family and colleagues of Andrey Vasilyevich. We will cherish the memory of this extraordinary man in our hearts forever.”
