The Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia continues the investigation into former Deputy Governor of Pskov Region Alexander Kuznetsov due to his receiving of a bribe on especially large scale (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of Russia). Having considered the investigator’s request today, the court ruled to place Kuznetsov in custody.

According to the investigation, in 2013, a director of a construction enterprise had given Kuznetsov a bribe in the form of a residential house in Pskov, having undervalued it for at least 1.5 million roubles, for Kuznetsov’s ensuring that the enterprise would win a tender for a state contract for construction of a medical facility in Pskov Region.

Investigative actions are being carried out in order to establish all the circumstances of the crime.
