The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructs to refer the probe into plane crash in the Republic of Tatarstan to the Central Office of the Committee

Earlier it was reported that the 384 Military Investigative Fepartment of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a probe into the fact of a hard landing in the Republic of Tatarstan of the L-410 aircraft, as a result of which 16 people were killed and 6 people were injured, under Part 3 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Russia (violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport, resulting in the death of two or more persons by negligence).

According to the investigation, at about 9 o'clock during takeoff from the airfield located near the city of Menzelinsk, Menzelinsky district, the plane had an emergency situation, as a result of which it made a hard landing. At the time of the tragedy, there were 20 parachutists and 2 crew members on board.

At the scene, an investigative and operational group continues to work with the involvement of forensic investigators from the military investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Central Military District.

For the purpose of a comprehensive and objective investigation of the criminal case, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed to transfer it for the organization of further investigation to the Central Office of the Committee.
