The media reported about a traffic accident in Moscow Region. Journalists explain that after a moose was hit on the highway, the driver fled the scene of the accident and left it to die in a ditch. The animal was in agony for several days until it was found. Now because of the driver's actions the injured animal could be shot.
As explained by concerned citizens, if the driver had stopped and tried to help, the animal could still have been saved. It was also reported that a local gamekeeper tried to help, but the veterinary service did not arrive until the third day, when the animal's condition became much worse.
Given the indifference and indifference shown in this situation, including by the regulatory authorities, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Investigative Committee for Moscow Region to organize an inquest into the case for possible negligence.
