Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Ordered to Report on Investigation of Murder of a Saint Petersburg Resident

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin ordered M. G. Parastaeva, Acting Head of the Main Investigative Department of the IC of Russia for Saint Petersburg, to report on investigation of the murder of a Saint Petersburg resident in 2020 over the letter sent by the Russian State Duma deputy Mikhail Romanov to the head of the IC of Russia.

In his letter, the deputy says that the mother of the deceased wants fair investigation of her son’s murder that took place at Oasis café in Krupskaya Street, Nevsky District. There was a conflict between two men, a verbal altercation and a fight, which ended up in the death of one of the opponents.

The investigation of the criminal case is currently in the final stage (Part 4, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The investigation is monitored by the Central Office of the IC.
