Previously, the media reported that unknown desecrated the memorial to the Soviet soldiers in the Trepps Park in Berlin, he poured it with red paint and wrote down the anti-Russian slogans. The monument in the Trepps-Park was constructed in honor of the fallen soldiers of the Soviet Union in the Battle of Berlin in 1945.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation A.I.Bastrykin instructed the  General Directorate of the IC of Russia to  establish all circumstances of the desecration of the memorial during the process of the criminal case investigation, and also to take all required steps for  identification the persons who is  culprit of the incident.
