Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, instructed Mr. A.P. Vinogradov, Head of the Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for Kirovskaya oblast, to launch a criminal case and provide an prompt report on the death of one teenager and injuries to others as a result of the a floor slab collapse in an unused building in the Kotelnich city.
According to investigators, on August 25 in the afternoon, the collapse of a reinforced concrete floor slab occurred in an unused school building. As a result of the incident, one juvenile was injured, the second one died.
According to preliminary information, in August of this year, a 50-year-old local resident began to dismantle the building, in accordance with the sale of municipal property contract he concluded for dismantling the building on construction materials. He brought in a friend to help. In order to carry out the dismantling works of the building, the latter engaged the juveniles, who carried out the mentioned works.
The investigation of the criminal case is a subjects of control in the Main Investigative Directorate of the Department.
