Condolences of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia over the tragedy at the school of Izhevsk

Mr. Alexander Ivanovich Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, expressed his condolences to the families of those, who was killed in the tragedy at the Izhevsk school:

"I express my deep, sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of the victims of the cynical and ruthless attack on a school in Izhevsk. A monstrous crime claimed the lives of children, including very young ones, and adults. This is a terrible tragedy, a heavy loss for all of us. The Investigative Committee is taking exhaustive measures to detect in detail the causes of the tragedy. Investigators, criminologists and forensic experts of the Russian Investigative Committee are already working at the scene of crime. A legal assessment will be given to all the circumstances that contributed to the commission of a cruel crime.

I wish a swift recovery to those who suffered and were injured ... Patience and strength to you to cope with what you have experienced. Strength to everyone who is facing the pain of loss today. We pine with you and we will take all necessary measures to support the families of the dead and injured."
