On 4 June 2012, the law-enforcement bodies received a message that a body of a 46-year old American citizen Aleksey Gelfand was found in the room of loe Plaza hotel without any trace of violent death. This fact is being checked by the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee for Moscow city.

According to the information by the investigators, Gelfand arrived in Moscow for a working trip and checked in at the hotel on 2 May. The investigators are examining the data of surveillance cameras.

At present, a complex of measures is being taken to establish all the circumstance of the incident. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the check.
