In Primorye Head of Vehicle Service of Naval Aviation Department of Pacific Fleet suspected of exceeding official powers

Bolshoy Kamen garrison Military Investigations Department of Russia’s Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case against Head of Vehicle Service of Naval Aviation Logistics Department of Pacific Fleet Lieutenant Colonel Igor Belokopytov. He is suspected of crimes under part 1 of article 286 (exceeding official powers) and part 1 of article 292 of RF Criminal Code (official forgery).

According to investigators, Belokopytov in January-February of 2010 being a commander of military unit 60299 unlawfully gave to civilians two automobiles of ZIL-131 which were part of a reserve stock. According to evaluations by the specialists, the depreciated cost of the cars at that moment was over 600 thousand rubles. In order to conceal the crime Belokopytov made false documents on disassembling and subsequent write-off of both cars. On the bases of the false documents the cars were registered as property of physical persons and were used by them for their personal purposes.

Preliminary investigation has established the location of each car. They are presently seized and returned to the state. Investigation is to be continued.
