Today at about 1:25 p.m. local time an An-2 plane owned by Daonevostochnaya airlines made an emergency landing on timber-carrying highway near the village of Elban of Khabarovsk Territory.

Far East Transport Investigations Directorate of Russia’s Investigative Committee has launched a procedural check into the fact.

According to information of the check there were 2 crew members aboard. The plane was patrolling forests. Preliminary reason for emergency landing is a sudden stop of the engine. Nobody was hurt.

At present search and investigating group has set off for the place of emergency landing.

A procedural decision will be made after the check.
