In September 2012, monitoring of media revealed that departments Literature for Children in several book stores of Yekaterinburg sold publications of sexual nature addressed to readers of between 8 and 16 years of age. The Sverdlovsk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Body in cooperation with the office of the Sverdlovsk Region Children Ombudsman have organized a pre-investigating check into the revealed facts.

Within the framework of the check, investigators are going to establish sources and circumstances the literature was delivered under and to interview store employees and suppliers. Investigating bodes will make a procedural decision following the results of the check.
