Persons involved in criminal proceedings over plotting mass riots interrogated as suspects

Investigators of the Central Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee completed searching places of those under criminal proceedings for plotting mass riots launched against Sergey Udaltsov, Leonid Razvozzhayev, Konstantin Lebedev and other persons according to the check of the facts mentioned in the documentary Anatomy of Protest-2.

During six searches at Udaltsov’s, Razvozzhayev’s, Lebedev’s and Aymaletdinov’s investigators seized electronic data storage devices and documents which will be in the near future examined by the investigators. Then necessary expert examinations will be assigned for the seized objects. In addition, they seized cartridges for a hunting rifle at Lebedev’s which were kept in violation of the requirements in an easily accessible place.

At present Konstantin Lebedev is detained under article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code and he has been interrogated as a suspect. S. Udaltsov has also been interrogated as a suspect, he is under a written undertaking not to leave place and behave properly. Both of the suspects testified that they did not have anything to do with plotting mass riots, however they again confirmed that in summer 2012 they met with Georgina citizens in Minsk.

The search and investigating operations failed to indicate Razvozzhayev’s whereabouts, there are measures being taken to establish it.

The issue of charging the suspects will be solved in procedural terms stipulated by the law.
