Andrey Murtazin – leader of organized criminal group Vosmyorochnye which for a long time committed various crimes against local businessman and people of Gus-Khrustalny district was detained in Vladimir Region

At night of 14 September forces of Vladimir Region Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee, Regional Directorate of Federal Security Service and Ministry of Internal Affairs within the framework of decriminalization of Gus-Khrustalny district and neutralization of organized criminal groups detained leader of Vosmyorochnye organized criminal group Andrey Murtazin. Investigators during detainment seized from him fire and traumatic arms and two bullet-proof vests.

Investigators have found that organized criminal group Vosmyorochnye was established by Murtazin in the early 90s. Using his authority and his personal leadership qualities he formed a steady solid criminal group based on hierarchical structure, unified by common mercenary interest, coherence of actions, planning of crimes and distribution of roles.

During 17 years, up to December 2010 – the moment when its illegal activity was suppressed – the organized criminal group committed serious and very serious crimes of mainly lucrative and violent nature in the territory of Gus-Khrustalny district and outside it against businesspeople with intent to misappropriate their property.

The leader of the criminal group escaped from the investigators and was wanted since December 2010.

Currently the accused is put into custody under the court ruling in absentia of March 2011.

Investigation of a criminal case against Murtazin is resumed, investigation and procedural operation are being carried out on him.
