In Moscow Region Alexander Davydenko, an expert in gamekeeping to appear in court for abuse of official powers

The Moscow Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have completed investigating a criminal case against Alexander Davydenko, an expert in gamekeeping of the state institution Moscow Region Hunting Office charged with a crime under paragraphs “a” and “b” of part 3 of article 286 of the RF Criminal Code (abuse of official powers using weapons and violence).

According to investigators on in the evening of 6 February 2010 Davudenko, being on duty near the village of Vysokovo of Dmitrovsky district shot at least 5 times from his carabine at a man driving a snowmobile who was transporting a moose carcass on the instructions of a huntsman. As a result the victim sustained a wound to his shoulder and fracture of a finger. An ambulance brigade delivered him to a city hospital and rendered medical aid.

Davydenko through media suggested different versions to justify himself, trying to discredit investigation, but all of them were refuted. The Davydenko’s claims that he detained a group of high-ranking officials poachers were refuted during investigation.

Investigators have collected enough evidence and the case with the approved indictment will be forwarded to the court in the near future.
