In Moscow inquiry continued into missing of Ramenka district board Alexander Dmitriyev

The Moscow investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case initiated on 16 July 2012 over disappearance of Ramenka district board Head Alexander Dmitriyev, 48, over signs of a crime under part 2 of article 105 of the RF Criminal Code (murder).

During preliminary investigation it has been established that on 16 July 2012 at around 7a.m., Alexander Dmitriyev left noncommercial gardening society Resurs-1 located near the village of Rassudovo of Moscow city on his personal car Toyota Land Cruiser Prado for work. Several hours later his car was found off the road near Rassudovo railway station.

the investigator, who’s in charge of the case, have given instructions to all territorial investigations department of the Moscow and Moscow Region Central Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee to immediately inform him about any unknown male bodies matching Dmitriyev’s description.

On 21 August current year a local man who was picking up mushrooms in the forest of Odintsovsky district in Moscow Region found a body of an unknown man and reported it to law enforcement bodies. An investigating group led by Chief of Moscow Region Central Investigations Directorate immediately set off for the incident scene. The Chief compared Dmitriyev’s description with the body and immediately informed the investigator in charge if the case.

A number of complex expert examinations, including molecular-genetic and forensic ones have been assigned in order to identify the unknown male body, which in description and clothes resembles the missing Dmitriyev. Based on their conclusions the investigators have all grounds to suggest that the body of an unknown man is missing Alexander Dmitriyev.

At present investigators go on considering other versions, but the main one remains murder connected with Dmitriyev’s official activity. Search and investigating operations are underway to establish all circumstances of the incident, including cause of death.
