In Moscow former employee of research institute of Russian Defense Ministry to appear in court for stealing more than 4 million rubles

Main Military Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s investigative Committee has completed investigating a criminal case against former head of economic and finance department – the Chief Accountant of federal state unitary enterprise 18th Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Reserve Major Oleg Danilov. He is charged with a crime under part 4 of article 159 of the RF Criminal Code (swindling on an especially large scale).

According to investigators, in the period between November 2007 and March 2008, by means of fictitious tender and purchasing apartments for the money of the institute at overrated prices Danilov stole over 4 million rubles from the institute. During the preliminary investigation the accused pleaded guilty and compensated the damage.

Investigators have collected enough evidence and the case with the approved indictment was forwarded to the court to be tried on the merits.
