Conclusive charges brought against three people suspected of mass riots and use of violence against representatives of authority on 6 May on Bolotnaya Ploshchad in Moscow

Central Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee as part of investigation of a criminal case over mass riots and use of violence against representatives of authority on 6 May on Bolotnaya Ploshchad in Moscow Alexandra Dukhanina, Yaroslav Belousov and Vladimir Akimenkov are brought to final charges.

Yaroslav Belousov is charged with crimes under part 2 of article 212 (participation in mass riots) and part 1 of article 318 of the RF Criminal Code (use of violence against representatives of authority). According to investigators he threw stones and pieces of asphalt at policemen, broke the cordon and beat representatives of the authority. Alexandra Dukhanina is also charged with use of violence against policemen, who were ensuring safety of public order during public events (part 2 of article 212 and part 1 of article 318 of the RF Criminal Code). Vladimir Akimenkov is charged with a crime under part 2 of article 212 of the RF Criminal Code (participation in mass riots).
