In Kamchatka former chief of correctional facility found guilty of exceeding official powers

Court has recognized the evidence collected by the Kamchatka Territory investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee sufficient to convict former Head of the Federal State Correctional Facility No 6 of the territorial Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service Ruslan Adamov. He was found guilty of a crime under part 1 of article 286 of the RF Criminal Code (exceeding official powers).

The court and investigation have found that in the period between April and November 2011, Adamov many times orally ordered his subordinates to take a convict for a murder without guard or escort outside the correctional facility to use him as a personal driver for his family.

The court sentenced Adamov to a year in a correctional prison camp .
