Woman charged with organizing an escape from confinement and forgery of an official document and its use to appear in court

Investigating bodies of the Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have completed investigating a criminal case against Inna Murzina charged with forgery and use of an official document and organization of escape from confinement – crimes under part 1 of article 327 of the RF Criminal Code (forgery of ID card or any other official document), part 3 of article 327 (use of a knowingly forged document), part 3 of article 33, part 1 of article 313 (organization of an escape from a place of confinement).

According to investigators, Murzina, who worked in the justice system as an office secretary, in early May 2011, forged an official document – resolution of the Federal Judge of Khoroshevsky district court of Moscow, containing false information on appointing her a public defender to her close acquaintance charged with a crime and placed into custody. According to the text of the forged document the accused could protect rights and freedoms of her client and visit him without any limit. Having submitted the said document in the pre-trial prison Murzina visited her acquaintance no less than 19 times to her own needs.

In addition no later than February 2012 Murzina forged another official document – Decision of Moscow City Court, containing false information cancelling the decision of Moscow Khoroshevsky district court prolonging the arrest of the accused, dismissing the case, cancelling pretrial restraining measure of confinement and releasing the latter from the custody. The said document Murzina was going to use to organize an escape of her acquaintance from the custody. According to investigators the man did not know about Murzina’s plans. However, the forgery was revealed and the escape prevented.

Investigators have collected enough evidence and the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to court to be tried on the merits.
