Criminal investigators of the Central Office of the Russia’s Investigative Committee join investigation of a criminal case over attack on Dagestani Supreme Court Judge Magomed Magomedov

On instructions of the Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin has sent to Makhachkala experienced criminal investigators of the Central Office to assist in investigating an attack on Dagestani Supreme Court Judge Magomed Magomedov.

At present necessary search and investigating operations are underway to establish all circumstances of the incident and detain assailants. Investigators are analyzing the examination of the crime scene, necessary forensic examinations were assigned.

According to investigators, Magomedov heard cases over serious and especially serious crimes, including terrorism and extremism and encroachment on the lives of law enforcement agents, this means – against members of illegal armed groups.

Investigators are considering several versions of the murder and the judge’s professional activity as a priority one.

Investigation is controlled by the Central Office of the Investigative Committee.
