The Novgorod Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have launched a criminal investigation against former chairman of Information and Communication Committee of the Novgorod Region. He is suspected of a crime under part 3 of article 159 of the RF Penal Code (fraud in getting payouts).

According to investigators, from March 2012 to December 2013 the accused to get illegal compensations for the flat he rented submitted forged documents confirming his right to the compensation for 25 thousand rubles in rent each month to financial support office of the Novgorod Region Government. However, he paid smaller rent and spent the rest of the money for his own needs.

At present necessary investigating operations are underway to find all the circumstances of the incident. Investigation is ongoing.
