In Moscow sentence passed on Dmitry Dyomushkin

A court has recognized the evidence collected by Moscow Main Investigation Directorate sufficient to convict Dmitry Dyomushkin charged with the crime under part 1 of article 282.1 of the RF Penal Code (setting up an extremist organization).

The court and investigators have found that since about 1999 Dyomushkin, sticking to nationalism, was leader of Slavic Union, a public movement, which was recognized an extremism organization and banned by Moscow City Court in April 2010. Despite the fact, the accused intentionally not wanting to implement the court order renamed the organization into Slavic Power and continued to propagandize nationalistic and extremist ideas, took part in mass events using prohibited slogans, recruited supporters and confederates.

Dyomushkin has been found guilty of setting up an extremism organization and sentenced to a fine of 200 thousand rubles. However he has been indemnified due to expiry of period of limitation, that is non-rehabilitating ground.
