Barsukov (Kumarin) prosecuted for organizing criminal community

Information in a number of media that the case against Vladimir Barsukov (Kumarin) accused of organizing a criminal community has been close is not true. The Investigative Committee considers spread of such information as an attempt to discredit investigation and push it when it is almost finished.

In this view I report that at present the Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee is investigating 3 criminal cases against Barsukov accused of murders, attempted murders and raids on 11 enterprises of saint-Petersburg.

Considering amendments put to article 210 of the RF Criminal Code (organization of a criminal community) investigators have to match the earlier charges with the new law. So Barsukov is continued to be prosecuted for article 210 taken novels of the law and in accordance with all procedural processes. As for the case over raids the investigators have never doubted sufficiency of evidence proving Barsukov’s role in setting up and leading the criminal community, which acted up to 2007 in Saint-Petersburg. This is why for those who believed the unreliable information and spread it around, I state that after all the investigating operations are finished the final charges will be brought against Barsukov including article 210 (organization of a criminal community).
