Investigators questioned a lot of witnesses, including a woman working in an institution nearby. During the investigation the woman recognized Ambartsumov as the man who had been with the girl. Check of phone billing confirmed that the accused used his cellphone close to the crime scene. Ambartsumov’s mental state was carefully checked and his testimonial made.
