Court has found the evidence gathered by the Tatarstan Republic investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee sufficient to convict a 30-year-old national of Uzbekistan Farukh Tashbayev. He was found guilty of crimes under Paragraphs "b", "c" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder of a minor, combined with his abduction aimed to conceal another crime or facilitate its commission, and involving rape or sexual assault), Paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 126 (kidnapping of a minor), paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 131 (sexual assault against a person who has not attained the age of fourteen), paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 132 (sexual assault against a person who has not attained the age of fourteen).

We remind that in the course of well-planned investigation and search operations, Tashbayev was detained in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny. The man admitted his involvement in the crime and pointed out the place where he had hidden the girl's body. It was found that the child died of profuse bleeding from stab wounds to the chest area with damage to the lung and heart. In addition, the body of the girl had signs of strangulation and sexual abuse.

Investigators have done a lot of work. Dozens of various expert examinations have been conducted. Thus, the DNA test indicated the presence of Galitsyna’s blood on Tashbayev’s clothes and in the back seat of his car. Experts established that the hair found in the car also belonged to the murdered girl. Tashbayev’s fingerprints were found on Galitsyna’s notebooks and textbooks.

The court sentenced Tashbayev to life in prison.
