Charges brought against men under investigation in attack of State Duma deputy Roman Khudyakov

Moscow Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee has charged Artur Minbulatov, Khachubek Khadisov, Shamil and Zakarya Gadzhiyev with crimes under part 1 of article 162 of the RF Criminal Code, paragraph “b” of part 3 of article 163 (robbery, extortion). In addition, Artur Minbulatov and Zakarya Gadzhiyev are charged with part 2 of article 116 and part 2 of article 213 of the RF Criminal Code (battery, hooliganism).

According to investigators in March 2013, the four accused were in a café in the Yevropeysky shopping mall and illegally demanded a businessman 30 million rubles. They threatened the businessman and his family to use violence. When the victim tried to phone for help, they beat him up and stole his mobile phone.

In addition, on July 9, 2013, Artur Minbulatov in Toyota Land Cruiser made a dangerous movement near No 26 on Berezhkovskaya embankment and nearly collided with the car of Roman Khudyakov. Minbulatov and Gadzhiyev got from the car and without any reasons beat up Khudyakov and fled the scene.

At the same time the investigators are going on checking the subjects of the case on involvement in other crimes. Two guns IZH seized from Zakarya Gadzhiyev and Artur Minbulatov while they were being detained are checked through several databases. Investigation is ongoing.
