Investigators finish work at crash scene in Kazan

The investigating bodies of Volga Region Transport Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case into signs of a crime under part 3 of article 263 of the RF Penal Code (violation of safety standards for traffic and operation of air transport entailing by negligence death of two or more people) over the Boeing-737 plane crash in Kazan.

The work at the plane crash scene has been completed. On the order of the Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee the heads of the Main Investigations Directorate and Volga Transport Investigations Directorate during all four days round the clock directed the investigation and coordinated the work of all special services, which composed over 1,000 people. All agencies and services cooperated coherently and the operations at the crash scene continued round the clock.

At present investigators are carrying out investigating operations to find all the circumstances of the crash. Technical expert examinations are going to be assigned in the near future to give final answer about the reasons for the crash.

To speed up the identification of bides, about 500 DNA tests were assigned to be run by expert bureaus in Moscow.
