The Bryansk Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continue investigating a criminal case against 62-year-old deputy of Churovichi council of people’s deputies in Klimovo District, Nikifor Zhukov. He is charged with 212 counts of underage sex abuse. During the initial investigation actions of the accused in 16 counts have been classified as rape of underage (Paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 131 of the RF Penal Code), in 17 counts – as rape of victims under 14 years of age (paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 131), in 3 counts – sex abuse of underage (paragraph “a” of part 3 of article 132), in 1 count – rape of an underage committed by an organized group in preliminary conspiracy (paragraphs “b” and “e” of part 2 of article 131), in 168 counts – sexual connection with persons under 16 years of age (parts 1,2 and 3 of article 134), in 7 counts – involvement of underage in systematic intake of alcohol (part 1 of article 151).
According to investigators, between July 2007 and May 2013 Zhukov committed a number of sex crimes against underage individuals in three districts of the region. 30 school girls from Klimovo, Novozybkov and Starodub Districts aged between 11 and 17 became his victims. All the crimes were committed under a similar scheme. The accused got acquainted with girls from poor families, which he then took in his car to abandoned places and offered them to have sex for a fee. By persuasions and threats, using his superiority in physical strength and helpless state of some of his victims due to their minor age, Zhukov implemented his criminal intention right in there in his car. The he gave the girls 500 or 1000 rubles on condition that they would not tell anybody. Seven of his victims, whom he met several times in similar situations he involved in systematic alcohol drinking. In one case a 19-year-old acquaintance of Zhukov’s was his accomplice. Later she was killed in a car crash.
Legal representatives of the victims filed civil motions worth 200 million rubles in all. To secure the motion the court arrested property of the accused, including two cars, 4 properties and two pieces of land in Klimov District.
Procedural operations necessary to finish the investigation are going to be carried out in the next few days.
