For three years employees of the Jewish Region Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have been helping the city war and labor veterans council in organizing events dedicated to the Victory Day, as well as rendering address assistance to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, who due to their age and health condition can’t attend those events.

This year is no exception. On 6 May the investigators of the special investigation office and investigating office in the city of Birobidzhan of the Jewish Investigations Directorate visited the homefront workers in Birobidzhan and Birobidzhan District of the Region. All of them received greeting cards signed by the employees of the Investigations Directorate, flowers and baskets of treats. Twenty veterans received the address assistance during the campaign. The elderly people were very happy to see the guests and receive the presents appreciating the attention paid to them. Some of them shared their memories about hard days of war.

In addition, the employees of the Investigations Directorate traditionally help to organize a festive table for the war and labor veterans in the city of Birobidzhan to honor all those who contributed to the Great Victory. Each veteran taking part in the event receives flowers.
