In 1943 he was called up in the Red Army and served in an artillery division. He fought for Belorussia, Poland and other areas. When the Victory was proclaimed he was in Germany on the Oder. After the war Mr. Rylov continued serving in southern Germany in special air regiment for 6 years more.

He was demobilized in May 1955. He went back to his homeland and studied in law school. Then he went to the Law Institute and graduated in 1959. He was sent to serve in the prosecutor’s office in the Altai Territory. Mr. Rylov worked as an investigator in Kalmanka District, Oktyabrsky District in the city of Barnaul, a senior investigator at the prosecutor’s office of the Territory and occupied top positions in it. He retired for long service in 1987 as a senior councilor of justice.

The veteran has the Order of the Patriotic War, the medal “For the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War”, the badge “For Valor and Courage in the Great Patriotic War” and has over 10 military and jubilee awards.

After an interesting and informative conversation the veteran received flowers and presents. In his turn Mr. Rylov wished young investigators to always listen to their conscience, to stick to their principles not only in their work, but in life as well, but the main thing – to respect the Law and their Motherland.
