Criminal case against former deputy mayor of Yaroslavl charged with bribery finished

The Yaroslavl Region investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee have finished investigating a criminal case against former deputy mayor of Yaroslavl Yevgeny Rozanov charged with receiving a bribe on an especially massive scale (paragraphs “a” and “c” of part 5 of article 290 of the RF Penal Code).

According to investigators, in December-March 2013 Rozanov together with former head of land resources office of Yaroslavl Mayor Office Boris Burakov and former director of construction organization and housing policies department of Yaroslavl Mayor Office Vladimir Yevdokimov received a bribe of 1 million rubles from a Yaroslavl businessman for assisting in extending a lease contract on a piece of land in state ownership and agreement of lawsuit tried by the Yaroslavl Region arbitrage.

The investigators have gathered enough evidence, therefore, the criminal case has been sent for the indictment to be approved and further to court to be tried on the merits.
