In Komi Republic sentence passed on former chief accountant of gymnasium guilty of misappropriation

A court has recognized the evidence gathered by the investigating bodies of the Russia’s Investigative Committee for the Republic of Komi sufficient to convict former chief accountant of gymnasium No 2 in the town of Inta Olga Terebilo, found guilty of a crime under part 4 of article 160 of the RF Penal Code (misappropriation of trusted property, committed by a person using their official position and on an especially large scale).

The court and investigators have found that during 2011-2012 the defendant put knowingly false information in the documents on wages, considerably overstating the sum to be transferred to her settlement account. Based on those documents she illegally received over 9 million rubles causing corresponding loss to the budgets of different levels.

The court has sentenced Terebilo to 4 years to be served in a minimum-security penal colony and a fine of 500 rubles.
