Moscow Region investigative agencies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation completed the investigation of the criminal case against a 27-year-old resident of Mytishchi. He is accused of committing crimes under Paragraph "c" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the RF Criminal Code (murder of a minor), Paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 132 of the RF Criminal Code (sexual assault committed against a minor), Paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 131 of the RF Criminal Code (rape of a minor), Paragraph "c" of Part 2 of Article 112 of the RF Criminal Code (intentional infliction of moderate bodily harm) and Paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 117 of the RF Criminal Code (torture committed against a minor in a helpless state).
According to investigators, from March 2008 to July 2013, the accused lived with a 25-year-old local woman and her 7-year-old daughter. Their two daughters born in 2013 and 2011 also lived with them in their apartment. The accused was constantly saying obscenities to his wife’s daughter, systematically beat the minor in the presence of her mother, expressing his dissatisfaction with the child's behavior and accusing her that she was not his own daughter.
In addition to the systematic beating and abusing of the child, the accused committed sexual assault and a rape against the girl.
July 7, 2013, once again staying in the apartment with the girl, the man began beating and kicking her, and then hit her blunt solid objects. He hit at least 16 times on the child’s head, at least 7 times on the chest, one time in the stomach, and at least 20 times on the upper and lower extremities. As a result of beating, the girl fell unconscious. Fearing criminal prosecution and wanting to avert suspicion, the accused took her to a medical facility for medical care, informing doctors that the girl choked while eating.
Despite the comprehensive efforts of medics to save the life of the child, the girl died in hospital.
Currently, investigators collected sufficient evidence; in connection with this, a criminal case with the confirmation of the indictment has been submitted to the court for consideration on the merits.
The criminal case against the mother of the victim, who knew about the torture and beatings by her husband against her daughter, but did not protect the child and did not report to law enforcement agencies, has been sent to the police department of the appropriate jurisdiction.
