Astrakhan Region Investigative agencies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against a local female resident suspected of tax evasion on a large scale ( Paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 199 of the RF Criminal Code).

According to investigators, from 2009 to 2011, a woman, being a CEO of the company "Astrakhan- Elements" providing assembly and construction services submitted the tax declarations containing false information, thus evading taxes amounting to more than 18 million rubles.

This fact was revealed by the tax authorities during the on-site inspection.

Investigative actions and search operations aimed at collecting and securing evidence are underway. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
