Under investigation into Tunisia murder of girl from Saint-Petersburg her mother arrested

Saint-Petersburg Main Investigations Directorate of the Russia’s Investigative Committee continues investigating a criminal case launched into murder of an 8 year-old girl in one of the hotels of Mahdia city in Tunisia (paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 105 of the RF Criminal Code).

On June 26, 2014 the girl’s 43-year-old mother Natalia Balandina, an individual entrepreneur, was arrested in the town of Labinsk of the Krasnodar Region on the suspicion of strangling her daughter in the mentioned hotel due to dislike of her.

At the moment the question is being decided on bringing the suspect to Saint-Petersburg, her arrest and indictment. The investigating operations are underway to find out all the circumstances of the crime.

In addition, the Investigative Committee has sent a request to law enforcement bodies of Tunisia in order to get all the files on this criminal case.
